How do you expect to run a welfare program that is medicore at best in the SunBelt with prices like that?

Good grief people.... to answer your question.. YES I have been to several away games. I am working (read this as begging my wife) on a way to get to the Auburn game.  I know parking and the like at "REAL" football games is a pain in the ass and expensive.  Parking even at Memphis was $20 or so....

and why does it matter if someone has been to an away game?  Isn't the important thing at this point to have people at HOME games?  Last year we averaged something like 17,000 a game... I have to look it back up, but I think this is good for about 5th-6th in the Sunbelt...

The entire basis of my comments was that I have 2-3 guys and a few kids who have never been tailgating before and I was looking for guidance on a proper location.  someone mentioned sites for like $15.  this must be new, because most of the stuff I have seen is "make a contribution to this, that, or the other" and then pay $50-$100 per game for a few square yards of land.  Of course I haven't looked at it this year, so I could be way off.

I have been considering joining the Red Wolf Club (ok.. mostly for the possibility of good basketball seating as others have posted...), but if the people posting on here are representative of the experience I am going to have, I don't want any part of it.

You can show up at 9 a.m. and get a good spot for free at any number of places near the old track.  It costs $50 minimum to join the Red Wolf club.   Tailgating and attending Red Wolves games is the best deal around this state.

Here's your answer.  Yes.  Come to the baseball stadium parking lot.  It's free there, and usually not crowded if you come early.

Just a suggestion - you might want to try to ignore most of the posts on this board.  Some folks' quick & witty responses are not as witty as they think they are.

PS: It appears that nothing much has changed since I last visited The Den.

in order to get good seating for basketball you'd have to donate at close to the 200 dollar level to the RWC.   YOu only make a donation like that if you are sure what you are doing.   Just show up early to the baseball lot or around the Old Track and tailgrate free of charge.     The Red Wolf CLub's only real benefit is seating and parking,  so its up to whether or not you think you have the money to make that kind of donation and get in on it

Not discouraging you from joining the RWC, I just think you dont need to make a step that drastic simply for free tailgating, when you can get that by simply moving youre spot to just a couple hundred yards south of the stadium

I just might do that, and I believe I'll be pleased with your efforts. I can't say the same for the rest of this bunch, so basically not much has changed.....

I'll have to admit, won.  You've had some Jim Dandies on here over the years!
