OK..  Seems to be a lot more spots that you can pay to tailgate this year...   that's dandy....

I plan on having small outings with a limited number of friends this year...  Where can we hang out without having to pay??

I am assuming under the pines is still ok....and around the track area... anywhere else?

might check the tree area near the pavilion between the lake and tailgate city.
anyone know if it's first come or a fee/reserved area?
seems to be a good area for small groups..

Im pretty sure its free anywhere except tailgate city.  The reserved tailgating spots around Johnson and the Football lot.      Baseball Convo and Track should still be free

That was just insulting....  having to PAY  for 3-4 adults and a few kids to build excitement for the game is ridiculous.  Face it. I don't have the $$$ to throw a big shindig and pay a fee for special spots and parking passes.  I am like 99% of the available fanbase.  My family and I are good for at least $100 each game in tickets, snacks, hats, drinks, etc. This may be a pittance to you old rich farts, but it is a LOT of money for us.

What are you pissed about? If you can't find a FREE spot to park and a FREE spot to tailgate, you aren't capable of finding your way to the stadium.

There is a big group of fans on the board who regularly tailgate in FREE spots.

Charging for premium spots is standard in Division I FBS and there are few if any places where you can park, tailgate, and attend the game as cheaply as you do here, where the price of the ticket is the only cost you are are sure to have.

he wouldn't know that, because it's quite likely he has never attended a game outside of Jonesboro

Give me a break...........if you can't afford a game at ASU then you can't afford a game anywhere..........sorry.  Complaining about having to pay for a good tailgate spot is ridiculous............and complaining about having to pay for a good tailgate spot when there are actually free spots in the vicinity a little further out is beyond ridiculous.

Some fans' mentality truly is ASU athletics is a charity/welfare organization.............

Besides, I thought stAte's observation was funny...........
